Youth Darts Academy Launched in South Africa

The game of Darts has opened the world to Pro Player Devon Petersen. With his roots in South Africa and a shared commitment to growing the game, Shot Darts is thrilled to partner with the Devon Petersen Darts Academy, launched in Cape Town and Gqeberha on 23rd April 2022.

The Academy will train future dart stars using accredited coaches and Junior Dart Corporation (JDC) training programs and techniques. The youth will also have one-on-one sessions with Devon, where they will learn darts skills, leadership skills, and discipline. They will grow life skills that will equip them to perform internationally.

The Academy will identify the top players who could potentially compete at the Junior World Dart Championships using the various rankings.

Shot's role is to ensure that every young player has the best opportunity for success with our quality dartboards and precision darts. As the players progress through the Academy, we'll provide financial support to the young players playing competitively at an international level.

Devon's story is of a kid from apartheid South Africa who has a dream to play on the world stage and, by sheer graft and determination, beats the odds to make it a reality. We're proud to support the future generation of dart stars in South Africa and help them realise their dream one day.
