ROWBY'S DART RANGE RELEASE MARCH 1 |
Born in Austria, with Filipino heritage from a family of darts fanatics, Rowby-John's been playing alongside big brothers Rusty and Roxy since he was tall enough to reach the dartboard. Thrilling audiences on the world stage since 2010, he’s competed in the biggest tournaments against the biggest dart names worldwide.
His first big tournament win came at age 16 when he claimed a whitewash win at the Austrian National Championship. This kickstarted his darts career, and he first earned his Tour Card in 2014. The highlight of that year was reaching the final of the PDC World Youth Champs.
Most recently in 2020 he played well at the UK Open (reaching the fourth round – his best run in the tournament), the Grand Slam, and the Players Championship Finals, but the highlight came at the 2021 World Cup of Darts as he helped Austria reach the final, where they fell to Scotland.
In 2022, Rowby-John won back his tour card and made his World Matchplay debut, where he beat Jonny Clayton in the first round. He then went on to beat Gerwyn Price at the European Championship Finals.
The consummate hype man, Rowby-John plays to the crowd as much as the dartboard – blending playful mischief with laser focus and an unshakeable commitment to win. He's in great form, part of the Shot Darts pro player tribe, and aiming for the top 8 in the world.
His upcoming range by Shot is fresh and fun but a serious contender – exploring Rowby's roots in the Philippines. Shot is stoked to have Rowby on our team, playing the best darts of his life – and throwing from strength to strength.
